When we seek to reengineer our agricultural systems, the new designs often seek to eliminate the biological systems. A LEHR Garden goes the opposite direction, fully integrating a complete self-contained ecology and the technology that drives it. The result is surprisingly low maintenance, typically a few hours a month or less.

A LEHR Garden works by combining technological solutions with organic gardening methods to create a closed loop, complete ecosystem that maximizes productivity while keeping human labor to a minimum. Hardware similar to aquaponics automates tasks like watering and fertilizing. Rich, organic soil keeps plants healthy. Healthy plants keep pests and diseases to a minimum.
